Instructor: Dennis Funk |
CONTENTS Course Description |
PowerPoint has become one of the most popular software programs in education and with the new features that have been added, it has even more value in the teacher and administrator's arsenal of technology tools. PowerPoint can be a very effective communication and instructional instrument if employed by educators who know how to harness its power to generate learning. In the hands of students, it becomes not only a modern way of presenting information, it provides them with a valuable skill that can be useful in the workplace.
Participants are required to complete slide shows while learning the components of the PowerPoint software. These components include text, graphics, charts, org charts, tables, WordArt, media, incorporating animations, transitions, and special effects. Participants are also responsible for creating a project of their choice and are to teach a colleague one of the skills learned. The slide shows are returned for evaluation.
This course is appropriate for all versions of PowerPoint on both Windows and Macintosh and requires a CD-ROM drive. Along with a manual, participants will receive a CD with all the support files as well as lots of other tools and resources. Support for this course is available by phone or via email.
